Bryn Penrose was told he could die within a few years so changed his diet and started walking 21,000 steps a day
A Leeds dad who was told he would die within five years if he did not lose weight has lost 17.5 stone by cutting out Coca-Cola and taking daily walks.
"I can take them to the cinema but I wouldn't dare go to a cinema before because the seats were too small and I couldn't even fit into them. Bryn hasn't got a bus for 18 months as he walks everywhere he needs to go. He added: "I couldn't do anything before. I was even using an inhaler from anything between three to five times a day when I was at my biggest."The only problem is that I've been going through clothes quite a lot now and I'm always having to buy new outfits.
"If I went somewhere and someone started laughing, I always assumed they were laughing at me because of my size. Bryn said: "I researched what I was eating after I went to the doctors and I found out a can of coke has 12 spoon-fulls of sugar in it, which I didn't know before."I do have a treat day once a month though, where I let myself eat whatever I want."
