Ofgem has dropped the energy price cap to £1,923 this morning, with the new level coming into force on 1 October.

He told Sky News he had also got rid of his dishwasher and plumbed the washing machine directly into the hot water, all in the hope of shaving money off his power bills. This still means the total annual cost per customer will be different depending on how many people you live with, the size of your home and how much energy you use.
