Lancashire marine who just wont stop running with new 50 mile a day challenge set
Ben Clough from Helmshore, who is a serving Royal Marines Commando physical training instructor, is running the National Three Peaks; Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon. He plans to run between 50 to 55 miles each day for 10 days, climbing a total of 47,592 feet.
“Both charities are very close to my heart. The RMA help marines and their families and Mind help people with their mental health, which is super important. I know some of my mates who struggled with their mental health in the past. I want to do everything in my power to raise as much money as humanly possible and smash this epic challenge out the park.
Ben, who was born in Burnley, is no stranger to arduous challenges. He has done the World Record Speed March Attempt in which he travelled 26.2 miles on foot carrying 40lbs in boots.
