Mark Butterworth was knocked from his motorbike and died from his injuries
Anthony Whitaker, 79, was behind the wheel of a VW Touran when he collided with Mark Butterworth on the Shard Bridge, Hambleton, in June last year. He appeared at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday where he entered a plea of guilty to the charge. The defendant was granted bail and will return to court on January 17 where he will be sentenced.
