M6, M61 and M57 Lancashire motorway disruption this week as planned closures take place
Drivers are being warned of upcoming motorway closures with roadworks planned for Lancashire over the coming week.
There are also diversion routes in place on the M57 as work including the replacement of road markings, traffic detection cables and bridge joints continues. From Monday overnight full closures of the M57 northbound between junctions 1 and 2 will be in place. The majority of the work will be carried out during the week from Monday to Friday and overnight from 8pm to 6am. From Monday overnight full closures of the M57 northbound between junctions 1 and 2 will be in place.Works are continuing at Thornham on the A627 including the resurfacing Thornham roundabout and the associated slip roads from the M62. Road markings are also being replaced from the northern end of the A627 to the roundabout at junction 2.
Only one side of the carriageway will be closed at a time. Associated slip road closures are also required. Signed diversion routes will be in place.The M6 southbound between junctions J32 and J29: Lanes 1 and 2 will be closed as roadworks are planned. Expect disruption everyday between 20:00 and 06:00 8 August 2022 to 11 August 2022. There will be two of four lanes closed.
