A tip jar containing around £80 in cash was stolen from the premises
Officers said the premises in the Lake District village of Braithwaite, which has not been named, was targeted in an early hours burglary and a tip jar containing around £80 in cash was stolen. The incident dates back to Wednesday, August 30, but investigations into the incident are continuing.
Officers have today released two CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. Anyone who recognises the individual, or with information about the burglary, is being urged to contact Cumbria Police.In a statement issued this morning , a force spokesperson said: "Cumbria Police are investigating a report of a commercial burglary at a hotel in Braithwaite at around 12:45am on Wednesday 30 August 2023.
"Police would like to speak with the person in the pictures to assist with their enquiries. Anyone who recognises the individual, or has any information about the incident should contact Cumbria Police online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it, quoting log 117 of the 31 August 2023
