Jonathan Reynolds warned that the party would need to see “the scale of the damage” before being able to commit fully to its fiscal policies
He argued the country was in need of “fresh ideas” and an election to allow the country to choose which policies they want taken forward.
But they insisted the party was “confident in our plans growth” regardless of the state the Conservative Government leaves the economy. Sir Keir has called for an immediate election, but there are currently no plans in the party to force one through a Commons confidence vote.
