Murphy believes Klopp was fair in his response to the journalist, having accused him of using Hamann’s comments in a loaded way and telling him to ‘ask your own question’.“The part about him responding to Dietmar Hamann in the first place saying, ‘Oh a fantastic source, well respected everywhere’, in a sarcastic way, I think that was uncalled for,” Murphy told White and Jordan.“I don’t think that was needed.
“But what he said wasn’t particularly wrong, but Klopp is edgy, he’s fractious. He’s not happy with what he’s seeing, he wants to do better and he’s getting in front of the press and being agitated and saying things he’ll probably look back on and think, ‘Why did I respond to that?’“Dietmar is entitled to think what he thinks, he’s a Champions League winner for Liverpool.“But I don’t think the journalist should have quoted Hamann, that’s my opinion.
