Jurgen Klopp was asked about the decision not to send off Ibrahima Konate for two bookings when the Merseyside derby was goalless. Liverpool went on to beat Everton 2-0.
Jurgen Klopp has admitted Liverpool were fortunate to not be handed their fifth red card of the season in their 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday after Ibrahima Konate escaped not being shown two yellow cards.
Speaking after the final whistle, Everton boss Sean Dyche shared his disbelief at the decision not to send off Konate and revealed that referee Craig Pawson had told him he hadn’t considered a bookable offence. And when asked about the incident himself in his own post-match press conference, Klopp admitted he sympathised with his Blues counterparts.
