Reaction from the Reds boss after the clash with Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday
Jurgen Klopp believes Mohamed Salah doesn’t need to express to him a desire to stay at Liverpool – with the Reds ready to reject any further approaches for the player this week.

“We had meetings this week, and the meetings were not about what we did in the past, it was about what we will do in the future. Mo was with the players’ committee and had his moments where he was talking and it was nothing like ‘by the way, this is only until next week’ or whatever. Salah also had a hand in the opening two goals for Liverpool on Sunday, helping force a corner from which Szoboszlai converted the first and then crossing for Darwin Nunez to strike a shot that hit the post and rebounded in off Aston Villa defender Matty Cash.
