Kirstie said she was 'desperately sad' to hear the news of the couple passing away in a crash on their family farm.
Kirstie Allsopp has paid a poignant tribute to co-host Phil Spencer's parents after they tragically died in a horror crash. Richard and Anne Spencer were travelling to a nearby pub for lunch on Friday, August 18, when their car veered off the road and into a river that ran through their estate in Kent.
Kirstie took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of the couple, writing in the caption: "This lovely photograph, recently taken at their home in Kent, is of Anne & Richard Spencer. I am desperately sad to have to say that they were both killed in a car accident near their home. "I suspect many of you may want to join me in sending so much love to Phil and all his family. Please keep them in your thoughts & prayers, Thank you."
"A third person, a woman in her 60s, was in the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. The next of kin has been informed and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”
