The King Richard actress, 53, opened up about her sexuality in a new interview.
Ellis has faced some resistance from relatives about living her life openly. She was nominated for an Oscar for playing Oracene Williams in King Richard. Ellis is slated to appear in next year's remake of The Color Purple
