King Charles is said to have acknowledged his stateside grandchildren during a speech at his post-Coronation family lunch, wishing grandson Archie a happy birthday.
And while it is thought that he was invited to celebrate with the family in a post-ceremony buffet lunch, the Duke Of Sussex opted for a prompt departure as he boarded a British Airways flight back to California within hours of the Coronation, not making lunch. While Charles then replied with thanks to everyone who had worked hard to make the day so special, then toasting to his three grandchildren who were in attendance to the Coronation; Prince George – who also served as a Page of Honour – Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
