Housebuilder Ilke Homes was in the process of building 131 homes for housing association Jigsaw Homes Group at Rolleston Drive in Arnold, but this work was abruptly suspended
Talks are ongoing over completing a Nottinghamshire housing development where construction suddenly stopped. after the company announced it was seeking a buyer on June 9.
David Ellis, ward councillor for Ernehale for Labour and the Co-Operative Party on Gedling Borough Council, said he hoped construction could resume as soon as possible. "It has been very disappointing that work has been paused on it because of the company going into liquidation," Mr Ellis said."They were almost complete and they were looking very good, they had produced a good product.
"131 affordable houses is not a small amount at all and it would be a great thing for it to be completed. We're aware it might take some time to sort but as a council we will do whatever we can to help it be finished."
