These victories set up him for a British title shot on Friday night against the unbeaten Williamson, who previously impressed in a big win over Ted Cheeseman to claim the belt. Finally, Kelly produced a coming of age performance as he outboxed and dominated Williamson for a wide, unanimous decision triumph.
When the scorecards were read out, he was declared the winner with scores of 118-110, 119-109, 119-111.
