A former Belfast councillor has been disqualified for three years by a standards watchdog after it found she doctored a council payslip in a bid to claim cash from a far-right group.
Britain First leader Paul Golding made a complaint to Northern Ireland's local government standards watchdog. Ms Bunting was elected in 2014 as a TUV candidate but left the party in 2017 and continued at city hall as an independent until she lost her seat in 2019.In earlier interviews with investigators she denied telling Mr Golding the deduction from her council allowance in 2018 was due to the incident involving Ms Fransen.
