Shropshire spinner Joe Stanley is hopeful his performance against Wiltshire will put him in contention to play for the county more often.
The Worcestershire academy spinner took career-best figures of 11-159 across both innings in Shropshire’s seven-wicket defeat to Wiltshire in their final NCCA Championship match this week.
“I want to play for Shropshire as much as possible next year, so I am pleased I managed to contribute this week. And he is hopeful he can continue to improve, adding: “I think my strengths as a bowler are my accuracy, and being able to spin the ball. It was a disappointing end to Shropshire’s three-day campaign after a great win against Dorset two weeks before.
