'No one at the White House was given a heads-up,' officials insisted as the Justice Department maintained a silence
The White House said that the President was not given advance notice of the visit to Mr Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday, stressing that the US Justice Department conducted investigations independently.
The Justice Department remained silent on the raid nearly a day after it took place, with no official statement or any comment from its head, Attorney General Merrick Garland, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre speaks to reporters during the daily news conference at the White House It noted that some of the boxes contained items “marked as classified national security information”.
