Manchester City's full-back Joao Cancelo looks to be on his way out of the club having not featured in a matchday squad this season.
Cancelo's future at the Etihad Stadium has been in severe doubt all year after he decided to leave the club on January's deadline day in search of regular first-team football at Bayern Munich. Unfortunately for the Portuguese defender, the switch to the Bundesliga did not result in a permanent deal as Thomas Tuchel allowed the 29-year-old to return to City.
The next 48 hours are claimed to be key for any deal to be confirmed as negotiations enter the 'final phase'. Should the transfer be concluded, Cancelo will link up with his former captain Ilkay Gundogan at the Catalan club.Elsewhere, City are believed to be firmly in the race for Boca Juniors' Valentin Barco. The 19-year-old left-back has established himself in the Boca team since June and is highly rated by the Argentine giants.
Brighton and Hove Albion are also believed to be keen on signing Barco but they have already had an offer rejected by Boca.
