A council criticised for its response to an investigation of senior officials' roles in a £1 land rights deal has been told it must take action, after the Mayor apologised and said the council would "consider" revisiting the investigation.

But when the findings were brought before council for a decision in October 2020, councillors opted, in a majority vote during a behind-closed-doors meeting held 'in committee' with the media excluded, to back a DUP motion to take no action.
