Jennifer Lawrence says she felt pressure to lose weight for Hunger Games
The actress, now 32, took on the lead role of Katniss Everdeen in the dystopian adventure trilogy between 2012 and 2015, with the role catapulting her to stardom.
Speaking to fellow actress Viola Davis for Variety’s Actor on Actors series, Jennifer spoke about the pressure she felt in appearing in the films at such a young age. In the interview, the actress shared how her and her husband of three years Cooke Maroney, 38, has been named Cy after the couple’s love of postwar American painter Cy Twombly.
Speaking to the publication, Jennifer also frankly talked about the whole experience of becoming a parent and revealed that while motherhood had been “scary” to talk about, she was also “fortunate” to have a support network of other girlfriends that had been through pregnancy to rely on for support.
