New movie: Jamie Fox, 55, was revealed to be playing God in the upcoming comedy Not Another Church Movie by Deadline on Thursday; seen in February in London However, it's that same family and community that may also get in the way of the good work he's attempting to do. James Michael Cummings and former Warner Bros executive Jim Cardwell are on hand to produce, according to Deadline. Valerie McCaffrey will executive produce.
McCaffrey added: 'The name talent that has come together for this fun comedy is unprecedented. You see all the actors having fun, especially Foxx playing God.' Despite the challenges in his recovery, the performer said he 'can see the light' and is 'thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers.'
'I went through something I never thought I would go through. I know a lot of people [were] waiting or wanting to hear an update, but to be honest with you, I didn't want you to see me like that man,' he admitted, with tears in his eyes. 'I didn't want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.'
He proceeded to show how his 'eyes are working just fine' by moving them from side to side, before making it clear that he is 'not paralyzed.'
