Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has plotted how Jurgen Klopp's side can use the final days of the transfer market to challenge Manchester City for the title
Jamie Carragher has insisted that Liverpool can challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title if the club make the right decisions in the final days of the transfer market.
However, Sky Sports pundit Carragher disagrees. The Merseyside club have been in title races with Manchester City in four of the last six seasons and the former Liverpool defender believes that his old club are only two players away from battling for Premier League glory, once again."Liverpool have been Manchester City's biggest rivals for the last four or five years," Carragher told Sky Sports.
With only a few days remaining in the transfer window, Liverpool will have to move quickly, if Carragher’s theory is to be put to the test. The club’s midfield may have been overhauled but the pundit pointed to a trio of players as key reasons why Liverpool should not be disregarded as potential contenders for City’s crown.
