The Gavin and Stacey actor has spoken out after being accused of 'yelling like crazy' at staff of the popular New York restaurant Balthazar when his wife's meal was cooked incorrectly.

James Corden has broken his silence after being banned from a restaurant for his behaviour and says the situation is "so silly".

In an interview, James, 44, was asked if he was "all right" after the criticism sparked huge social media backlash. The actor questioned the reporter from the New York Times, asking what he meant, reports the Mirror. He defensively snapped: "I haven't done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this [the interview]? I was there. I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it's so silly." He continued to complain: "I just think it's beneath all of us. It's beneath you. It's certainly beneath your publication.

He went on to give two examples of the actor's rude behaviour, including him shouting at a server, saying "you can't do your job" after they made a slight mistake with an order. James has since added he has managed to avoid most of the news surrounding the backlash of his actions, claiming the situation is "strange".
