Outside of the ring he is in a relationship with Dutch speed skater Leerdam, who won silver at the 2022 Winter Olympics. In a video on Leerdam's Instagram, Paul can be seen watching some of the skaters practicing at the Thialf in Heerenveen. "I've never seen this before! It's just like, they're going so fast and having so much fun," he can be heard saying with a smile on his face.She also took the time to get some weight practice in with a trip to the gym that has the Olympic logo printed onto the floor.
