Coronation Street Jack P Shepherd in awe of Madame Tussauds waxwork he says is like 'Leo DiCaprio and Justin Bieber' lovechild
Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd was all smiles as he rocked up in Blackpool for the unveiling of his new Madame Tussauds waxwork today .
David Platt's dry remarks and blunt responses to his family members have made him into a household favourite for two decades. Now, Lancashire ITV fans don't have to travel far to meet the bad boy of cobbles after the actor was immortalised in wax at one of Blackpool's premier attractions. Jack stood side by side with his wax self, pointing out all the less noticeable features that made the figure look more like him than he imagined. Spotting his freckles, scars and moles, the ITV actor even confessed to his celeb lookalikes- one who he says he would gladly have play David Platt in another life.
Jack says the wax version of himself, or rather his character, was a tough secret he had to keep during production. Seeing it person, he adds the image of two versions of himself now "takes your breath away. "David's fashion sense is a bit similar to mine, boots, jeans, I don't have denim jacket but hey it's alright."
The actor's on screen mum, Gail Platt played by Helen Worth also seemed to be full of joy at the news of Jack's figure. "When I've shown them little glimpses of the work they're like it's just uncanny and it is uncanny," he added.
