A Co Fermanagh mum has launched an appeal for birthday cards for her son, who was paralysed following attempts to treat scoliosis.Patrick was born with a number of life-threatening conditions, including scoliosis and kyphosis, and his mum says it is a miracle he has survived to see his 20th birthday.
“Patrick was born with so many life threatening issues, he was in hospital for almost a year,” Wendy told Belfast Live. “That was in 2009, since then his condition has deteriorated and among other problems is really struggling. He is tiny for his age and surgery is not an option anymore.
