An investigation has been launched following reports that a child was assaulted by a member of staff at a mental health unit.It has been alleged that the child was punched and kicked by a member of staff working at the centre, allegedly causing them severe bruising and cuts along with a hand injury.
The incident took place at the centre on Sunday, July 24."Local officers are working closely with the Trust and police enquiries are ongoing in relation to this matter."If anyone has any information regarding this case they can contact Police on 101 quoting reference RM22044494."
