Inside the 'disgusting' mouldy home family tried to leave before death of two-year-old son
Shocking images from inside the home of Awaab Ishak days after the toddler's death have been released during his inquest. The little boy died just days after his second birthday, having lived in the Ilminster block on the Freehold estate, in Rochdale.

Ms Amin said Awaab was prescribed an inhaler for his nose in autumn 2020, and he had been struggling to breathe through his nose.
Awaab was reported to have had a sore throat for three weeks before December 16, and three days later he was admitted to Rochdale Urgent Care Centre. Following transfer to Royal Oldham Hospital, he was treated for croup and discharged on December 20. GMP visited the property where Awaab had lived in the days following his death and took photos from the scene, which were released by Rochdale Coroners Court yesterday. The court heard health visitors had also previously raised alarm about mould at the property, while the family had raised concerns about it.
