Arsenal legend Ian Wright has warned they must find a way of taking points off Manchester City if they are to win the Premier League title.
The Gunners continued their solid start to the new season by ending one hoodoo against a north west team on Sunday,Arsenal face an acid test of their credentials over the course of the next three weeks with games against PSV Eindhoven and in-form Tottenham to come over the course of the next seven days.
Should Mikel Arteta’s side navigate those fixtures successfully, they will hope to build further momentum against Bournemouth before they take on the champions at the Emirates Stadium on October 8. Arteta is yet to taste victory against Pep Guardiola in the Premier League and Wright believes his old side must find a way to overcome the treble winners, who have been faultless so far this term, if they are to go one better than last season. He told Premier League Productions: ‘Those three games are big but I wouldn’t say the PSV one so much because it’s a Champions League game, it’s the first one we’re not really into the meat and bones of it yet.
‘It’s a big game for Arsenal but then obviously Tottenham and their form which is very very good, so the derby is going to be unbelievable.
