Ian Garry set to face toughest test of MMA career
‘The Future’ currently boasts a perfect 11-0 MMA record and has looked close to perfect during his first four UFC wins against Jordan Williams, Darian Weeks, Gabe Green and Song Kenan.Garry, who is tipped as a future world champion, will face a massive step up in competition when he squares off against welterweight contender Daniel Rodriguez at an upcoming UFC Fight Night event on May 13.
‘D-Rod’ suffered a submission defeat to MMA veteran Neil Magny last time out but has proved he is a top competitor with UFC wins over Li Jingliang, Kevin Lee, Mike Perry and Tim Means.earlier this month and had to overcome adversity for the first time in his career when he was heavily dropped in round one.
Ahead of his latest fight, Garry revealed his plan to compete on the undercard of McGregor’s comeback bout against Michael Chandler later this year.
