'I broke down. The first thing I said was ‘am I going to lose my son?’'
A mum endured heartbreak over fears she couldn’t have children until she welcomed a baby boy in November - now she fears she will lose her ‘bundle of joy’ less than a year later.
It was the ‘happiest day of their life’ and even more so when the pair found out Talour would be welcoming the ‘little baby boy I always dreamed and wished for - my little best friend’.She told the M.E.N.: “I’m from a big family and I’ve got nieces and nephews who I treat as my own - the bond I have with them is unbreakable. I wanted my own baby to love and cherish for as long as possible, it is something I dreamed and wished for.
“Doctors noticed something was wrong and referred us to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Manchester where we learned he had a severe heart condition. I broke down. The first thing I said was ‘am I going to lose my son?’” Talour told the Manchester Evening News. Théo-Ben has since had a second heart surgery. He has had multiple stays in the ICU and HDU at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, in Liverpool.
On the fundraising page, set up to support the family with transport and accommodation, a statement said: “Théo-Ben, our heart warrior, our fighter and our whole world.
