The news of Wilko going into administration was something I didn’t see coming, however. I buy a lot from Wilko: pens, reporters' notepads, and everyday household essentials.The chain sells dozens of products and when I was a student studying in Leicester, my local Wilko always came in handy - it still does now. August 16 is a crucial day for the chain; it’s the last chance for potential buyers to declare their interest in the retailer.
