The countdown is on until the 23rd series of ITV's I'm A Celeb and these are some of the stars who are rumoured to be joining Ant and Dec in the Australian jungle.
There may still be a couple of months to go, but already the bets are on as to who will be taking their place in the I’m A Celeb camp for 2023.this time round include a popular This Morning host, two recent UK Prime Ministers, a soap icon, a drag queen and various sports stars.as the show returned to Australia for the first time since 2020, after spending two years at a Welsh castle in the aftermath of the pandemic.
Richard Madeley’s Good Morning Britain colleague Alex Beresford has been honing his reality TV skills already this year as he’s trecked across the globe with his dad on BBC’s Celebrity Race Across the World. He’s previously said that he is a "big fan of the heat" and would find filming in Australia “awesome”. He said: “Out of all the shows I would love to do, I would love to do the jungle.
But some soap fans out there think the lady doth protest too much, and Danny has actually just been trying to throw people off the scent. Just imagine the scenes if James took part and was able to utter his famous Inbetweeners line as he exited the jungle - “completed it mate!” No stranger to signing up for shows close to his heart, Ed previously made a cameo appearance on Australian soap Neighbours because he’d watched it growing up. So could the time be right for the dad-of-two to head to the jungle?
But a source close to Liz, who was in power for 49 days last year, says she has no plans to make her reality TV debut. GMB favourite has said before she wouldn’t be averse to a stint in the jungle so could she be lining up to take her place alongside co-stars Richard Madeley and Alex Beresford? But could this time away be due to his desire to head into the jungle? The Mirror reports he’s waiting to be asked and has already turned down Strictly and Dancing on Ice to guarantee his slot in camp. So watch this space…
Another icon from the cobbles is touted as a possibility for I’m A Celeb 2023. Alan is best known for his long-running and much-loved role as Tyrone Dobbs since he joined Corrie in 1998. Bosses are said to be really keen to get him into the jungle due to his popularity with fans. This Morning’s rising star apparently caused a tense battle between Strictly and I’m A Celeb bosses as they both wanted to sign her up.
Boris would be following in his dad Stanley Johnson’s footsteps, but it’s been reported that despite being offered a huge deal to appear that dwarves Matt Hancock’s reported £320K appearance fee, the ex PM will be turning it down. The former Big Breakfast host previously told The Sun: "I will do it at some point. I think I'm A Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something nice to do. I am a lot more jungle vibes than castle vibes, to be honest."
