Jade Kelly claims doctors told her she'd be the youngest person in the UK to have the surgery
From back pain to body confidence issues, there are many reasons why someone would choose to have breast reduction surgery.
Jade Kelly went under the knife when she was just 17. She claims a doctor told her she would be the youngest person in the UK to have it done - but they didn't offer her any psychological support. At the age of 17, she finally snapped, booking an appointment to see her GP in the hopes of having breast reduction surgery.
Although the medic tried to discourage her, they referred her to a specialist after just a handful of appointments. In January 2006, just five months before her 18th birthday, Jade had her operation. "I needed to deal with them because they were a permanent reminder of a bad memory," she said. "I didn’t want to tell her the real reason I wanted it done.
Before the procedure, Jade convinced herself she was fat. She believed that if she changed her body shape she might start feeling happier about other aspects of her life too."No amount of exercise or dancing seemed to change my body shape," Jade continued. "I felt I was stuck with a body I despised.
