Tony Magunnigle who loved his long hair has now cut around 10 inches off for the Little Princess Trust.
The 26-year-old, from Larkhall, had grown his beloved hair for three years but made the selfless decision to chop it after his father, Antony Magunnigle, had a ‘big scare’.The devastating news left his family fearing the worst but now after having his kidney removed Antony is cancer free. "It felt terrible cutting it but it's amazing that it would help at the Little Princess Trust with a wig.“It was a big scare because both my gran and papa died from it.
“He has since had two scans, with the most recent being last month, and has been given the all clear with it not spreading anywhere else.Kidney cancer, also called renal cancer, is one of the most common types of cancer in the UK.In many cases, there are no obvious symptoms at first and kidney cancer may only be found during tests for another condition or reason.
