Brian Lambert did not appear at magistrates court
A man accused of robbery following a £70k smash-and-grab at an Ormskirk jewellers failed to turn up at court.
Brian Lambert, 47, was due to appear before Preston Magistrates Court on Thursday to face charges in connection with the September 2020 raid. However he failed to appear and is now wanted by police. During the robbery at David Moss jewellers, in Moorgate, the shop's owner was allegedly threatened with an angle grinder and valuable jewellery was stolen. Lancashire Police said they were taking the incident "extremely seriously".Last month Lambert, of Brandwood Road, Bacup, was charged with robbery and summonsed to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on December 1.
