Hundreds line the streets in the city centre for Manchester's annual Walk for Women
Music, chanting and singing echoed around the streets ofthis afternoon as hundreds of women, men and children gathered for the annual Walk for Women.
“Every city should be doing this - it’s so important to send that message out that equality and equity for women is absolutely crucial. She said: “We love diversity. This is the 22nd year and I happen to be the founder of our group, so we are very strong women. We meet up with other women, we want to see women progress, we believe in equality and diversity.”
After the march, one man took exception to the day’s events. After engaging in conversation with Hannah Spencer about the nature of the walk, he quickly became verbally abusive, shouting slurs and swearing, before he was removed by security.
