The First Minister said if Tories at Westminster would not allow safe consumption rooms then powers on the issue should be devolved to Scotland.
Humza Yousaf has urged the UK Government to drop its "ideological opposition" to safe consumption rooms for drug users.
Successive Tory governments have repeatedly rejected the idea and have refused to devolve the powers required to Holyrood. He added: "I would say to the UK Government, don’t have a dogmatic or ideological opposition, look at the evidence that the committee has brought forward and others have brought forward and let’s have a genuine discussion.”
