Humza Yousaf's mother-in-law Elizabeth El-Nakla is trapped in Gaza alongside other members of her family. She has sent an emotional video message asking 'where is people's humanity'.
First Minister Humza Yousaf's mother-in-law has sent a tearful message from Gaza where she is trapped amid orders by the Israeli military for more than one million Palestinians to evacuate.
The United Nations reported that 1.1 million Palestinians were ordered to vacate northern Gaza within 24 hours. The region which has been ordered to evacuate includes Gaza's biggest hospital, which Human Rights Watch has said is dealing with more than 6,000 casualties, and two major refugee camps. The UN described the military order as "devastating".
She said: "This will be my last video. Everybody from Gaza is moving towards where we are. One million people, no food, no water, and still they're bombing them as they leave.
