EXCLUSIVE: Alex Neil said the SNP had 'lost touch in recent times' and should be focusing on improving the lives of ordinary Scots.
Humza Yousaf's plan to achieve Scottish independence is "devoid of credibility" following the SNP's hammering at the Rutherglen by-election, a senior Nationalist has warned.
The First Minister and Stephen Flynn have both endorsed a plan which would see the party begin negotiations on ending the Union if it wins the most seats in Scotland. It comes after Labour won almost 60 per cent of the vote in the Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election last week, which saw the party achieve a 20.4 per cent swing from the Nationalists.
"I think we've lost touch in recent times, even before Nicola Sturgeon stood down. I think Humza needs to ditch the label of Mr Continuity and instead be Mr Change of Direction.
