Bispham Road has been flooded with police, paramedics and an air ambulance - and the road is closed both ways from Old Park Lane to Wennington Road
Bispham Road has been taped off in both directions, from Old Park Lane to Wennington Road. Pictures taken at the scene show an area cordoned off with a white forensic tent in place on the road.
A number of officers and police vehicles are stationed at the scene. Witnesses also report seeing North West Ambulance services and an air ambulance. Two vehicles are reported to have been involved in the crash, which is believed to have happened at around 7am today . LancsLive has contacted Merseyside Police for comment.. A spokesperson for Arriva North West said: "Due to police incident on Bispham Road/Canning Road service 46 is diverting via Norwood Road , Butts Lane, Russel Road, Canning Road, Carr Lane.
