The crash happened at Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre
There is a large police presence in Manchester city centre after a bus crashed into a building. Emergency crews have descended on Piccadilly Gardens following the incident.
Tents were erected around the building by emergency services following the crash before being removed at about 2.30pm. North West Ambulance Service has said there are 'a number of casualties' who have been taken to hospital. The severity of their injuries are not known at this time.Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 1pm today police were called to reports of a collision involving a bus and a shop in Piccadilly Gardens.
