There are severe delays on the M6 and M56
Cheshire Police were called to reports of a crash on the M6 northbound between junctions 20 and 21 at around 4pm on Tuesday, August 29. Once police and other emergency services arrived at the scene they found the crash involved four vehicles.
Cheshire Police have said there are no reports of any serious injuries and no arrests have been made. Officers have closed lanes three and four while recovery work is ongoing.Traffic monitoring service, INRIX, is reporting severe congestion to junction 19 and on the southbound carriageway as motorists slow down as they pass the incident. There are also delays on the M56 from the M6 junction to Stretton.
A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At 4pm today police were called to reports of a collision on the M6 northbound between junction 20 and 21. Officers attended and found the collision involved four vehicles. "There were no reports of any serious injuries and no arrests have been made.
