Over the next eight days Watford journeys are set to be hit by disruption from both national and tube strikes.
ASLEF has also announced an overtime ban across the rail network today and from October 2 to 6. During that time buses will replace trains on the Abbey Line between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey.
According to the train drivers’ union, the overtime ban will more widely “seriously disrupt the network” because of how much it relies on drivers working their rest days. Members of the RMT working on the London Underground will walk out on October 4 and 6, which the union warned would shut down Tube services in the capital.
TfL expects most services to be “severely affected” or not run on those days, there will also be disruption the following mornings. Elizibeth line, London Overground, DLR, and tram services are not set to be affected.
