Mel Thomas, a retired police sergeant and star of Channel 4’s Hunted, agreed Khalife would be “used to sleeping outside” being ex-military.The experts said the escape method signaled a level of “audacity”, strategic thinking too.
“There has either been a significant amount of thinking and planning – very possible from a soldier – or he has had some help from someone indicating that’s how he needs to do it.”
