The days of stray fingers getting trapped are over - if your car has this function
There's a hidden safety feature found in many new cars that drivers may not know about. According to a motoring expert, there's a simple trick that stops objects from getting trapped in the windows.
She explained: “Pull the window lift switch for five seconds, the one-button window lift function and the anti-pinch function are set successfully. Lift and lower the glass with a single touch. When the window detects an obstacle, it will automatically lower and prevent hands from being pinched.”With many new cars featuring one-touch electric windows, which the driver only needs to press once to fully open or close, they could risk getting their fingers trapped.
Drivers are recommended to read their vehicle’s owner handbook for an exact method to turn on the feature. Reading the handbook may also reveal numerous other functions that drivers are unaware of.
