A young police officer has been praised after helping a mum deliver her baby in a car at the side of the road.
With an ambulance on the way but no time to get Lisa, 32, to hospital, PC McMinn began helping the mum to deliver little Arlo McInnes, who arrived safely into the world as the ambulance arrived. Mum and baby were then taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. She added: "I never would have imagined that during a routine shift, I would end up delivering a baby. I remember whilst being in the foot well of the car, introducing myself to Lisa and telling her that I had never done anything like this before.
