Referencing a particular scene in which Darcy cries to Tara in the bathroom during Tara's birthday party, Brown said of her co-star: "You killed it, can I just say. The scene in the bathroom, watching, like obviously I was with you, but I was holding back Corinna's tears." In the season finale, after missing prom due to an argument with her homophobic mum, Darcy opens up to Tara and the pair declare their love for each other.
