'One in a million' Joe Richardson, 60, passed away suddenly on Wednesday
Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a Scots dad who dedicated his life to volunteering and helping the most vulnerable in his community.
His wife, Janet said: "He was an amazing person. We are all heartbroken, he was an amazing man. He loved his cooking and did great work in the community. My brother has learning difficulties and got free season tickets to Hibs games which Joe would take him to. Top news stories today The family are organising a memorial for dad-of-two Joe in Moredun on the day of his funeral, so that everyone in the area can give him a round of applause for all his endeavours.
"He started this before the pandemic and when Amanda found out Joe had passed away she just burst into tears. On Tuesday, he would be at Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre, which lets the church use it as a base to give out free meals every week for free.
